My Favorite Cover

MIT Technology Review, November/December 2012: "You Promised Me Mars Colonies. Instead, I Got Facebook."
This Magazine cover is a very good example. The main image has a good exposure. Something that the magazine cover is missing could be the dateline, because it has not the day of publication. Also, another thing that is "vital" is the left third that also it is missing. This magazine cover is my favorite because it has almost all of the essential parts of a magazine.

Something that is communicated on this portrait is about old people, it communicate that also old people can do things as colonize mars(the man in the image is a moon-walker).

Magazine Essential Parts

1.- Masthead
 Logo or title

2.- Dateline
 month/day/year of publication

3.- Main image
 Single and big image

4.- Model credit
Something about the model or the photographer of the main image

5.- Cover lines
Some main ideas about the content of the magazine

6.- Main cover line

  Very large main idea (largest).

7.- Left third

is where the magazine is not shown full-frontage.

8.- Bar code
Single bar code used to sell it

short description of the title's main marketing point

PART 1: Best Photos of 2013

I think this is one of the most great photos in 2013 because i like the fabulous things in our planet, this optical phenomenon called "halo" is of my favorite. The way in which is formed a perfect circular rainbow around the sun shows the powerful and interesting form of our world.

I like this photo because there is used a interesting way to take great photos, changing the shutter speed to make this circular movement of the stars. This was during all the night to capture the light of the stairs.

This photo make me feel an emotion of happiness, watching all the lights and fireworks at the same time, celebrating the end of the 2013. It is just awesome!!
